The Colombian Air Transport Association is a private organization that represents Iberia, American Airlines, Copa, Continental, Martinair, Avianca, Tampa Cargo and other local airlines before the Colombian Government and the private industry.

• Represented ATAC in international negotiations like the Free Trade Agreement between Colombia and United States and in the Aeronautic Bilateral Agreement between Colombia and Dubai.
• Proposed Custom regulation changes related with transit cargo procedures in order to simplify the work paper. As a result the Custom Authority provides advice to the custom officers to fix the procedure.
• Proposed custom regulation changes for the airplanes spare parts import process. As a result the Custom Authority changes the procedures to manage the airplane spare part imports.
• Proposed changes in security and safety regulation related with guns transport inside cabins, the carrying of life rafts on flights close to the sea coast and the airplanes weight procedures. As a result Colombian CAA changed the regulation in these topics.
• Identified mistakes at Eldorado´s new cargo ramp design. As a result the Colombian CAA changed the ramp specifications in the airport privatization contract.
• Pointed infrastructure problems to the Colombian CAA. As a result the CAA repaired ramps, runways and navigation aids systems.
• Pointed problems in ATM procedures to the CAA. As a result the CAA changed procedures for Final Approach and Instrumental Flight Rules- Visual Flight Rules.
• Identified flight information flow problems between Colombian CAA air transport office and ATM office. As a result CAA has been working to fix the information flow.
• Represented ATAC in reaching an agreement with Colombian CAA, ALTA and IATA to perform a study about Bogota´s Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA).
• Coordinated cargo and passengers airlines operations with Colombian CAA during peak seasons and runways maintenance periods.
• I supported the Association and the airlines in regards to aeronautical and commercial law.
